FantaVerse and the Asia Block Gaming Alliance (ABGA) have forged an alliance.
FantaVerse, a leading-edge Metaverse 3.0 gaming ecosystem, has joined the Asia Block Gaming Alliance (ABGA) as a Platinum member. Together, both organizations aim to collaborate and grow the global blockchain gaming ecosystem from within Asia as a priority.
More than half of the world’s gamers are in Asia.
There were approximately 3 billion gamers in 2021 with more than half of them being in the Asia-Pacific. According to Google and Niko Partners, Asia is home to over 1.5 billion gamers and Asia is the fastest growing gaming region in the world.
In Asia alone, the explosive US$70 billion gaming market is teeming with opportunities for mobile, social, cloud and eSports gaming in the region. The Southeast Asia Gaming market alone is expected to register a CAGR of 8.5% over the forecast period of 2022 to 2027. The emergence of 5G technology is expected to increase wireless network investment in infrastructure. According to a ResearchAndMarkets report, global 5G wireless network infrastructure revenue will reach USD 4.2 billion. Innovation and gaming demographics will see the number of global gamers grow rapidly towards the 4 billion by the middle of this decade.
A non-profit alliance.
The Asia Block Gaming Alliance (ABGA) is a non-profit, blockchain alliance, co-sponsored by leading institutions in the gaming industry who are optimistic about blockchain games, NFTs and the Metaverse. With its mission of uniting blockchain gaming in Asia, ABGA is registered in Singapore as a CLG (a public company limited by guarantee) and it is forging alliances throughout Asia to better integrate into the global blockchain gaming ecosystem.
The ABGA alliance includes venture capital firms (e.g. FIBIG Capital, Spark, Bitrise Capital and Chain Capital), fintech companies (e.g. Huobi Ventures, Kucoin, MEXC Pioneer and BKEX), gamefi establishments, launchpads (e.g. EnjinStarter and NFTb), gaming guilds (e.g. YGG SEA and Yield Guild), blockchain protocol infrastructure foundations (e.g. Polygon, Klaytn and Protocol labs) and a panel of community media and publishers (e.g. Cointelegraph Chinese, Footprint analytics, Blockcast and De Game).

As a Platinum member of the ABGA, FantaVerse brings to the alliance its strengths built around FantaVerse’s ethos of “BUIDL it! OWN it! PLAY it! FEEL it!”.

IPFS will specifically empower the Fantaverse game to provide browser-based cloud gaming capabilities without the need to download software to a PC or the need to download mobile apps.

Together with all members of the alliance, the ABGA aims to encourage development that defines the future of the global blockchain industry. Hackathons, annual award ceremonies, project matchmaking, online and offline themed salons are part of the events that the ABGA will host. FantaVerse will be rendering its support for these and other upcoming ABGA events.
